Jo Ann Satterfield, 83, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Springfield, died at 3:50 am, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Hampton Manor at Deerwood in Ocala, FL. She was born September 26, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Bartlett) Senalik.

She is survived by a daughter, Lora (Eugene) Shepherd and grandson, Robert Shepherd, all of Silver Springs, FL and a sister, Janet (Richard) Steinhour of Springfield.

Jo Ann retired from the Illinois Department of Public Health as an administrative assistant to chief legal counsel. She was past president of the Quarter Century Club and was a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS).

Jo Ann’s interests were growing and collecting daylilies. She was a garden judge and a member of the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS). A past president of the Central Illinois Daylily Society, Jo Ann was also a member of the Springfield Civic Garden Club.

Visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 am Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor J. Steven Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
