Joyce M. Barker 81, of Springfield, died at 7:10 am, Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born June 25, 1942 in Springfield, to Charles E. and Bertha Jeffers Coffey. She married Donald Lee Barker in 1969 and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2007.

Survivors include four children, Rebecca (Steven) Johnson, Michael (Michelle) Coffey, and Lawrence Coffey all of Springfield and Kim Dean-Dickey of Marissa, IL; fifteen grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters; four brothers; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Joyce worked as an in-home caregiver. She was a member of Broken Chains Church.

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed church and collecting angels.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11:30 am, Friday, April 5, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Brian Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
