Judith “Judy” A. Harman 83, of Springfield, died at 11:53 am, Monday, March 11, 2024, at her home. She was born March 29, 1940, in Columbia, Illinois to Kermit and Rosalind Mehrmann Blittersdorf.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kelly Lorton of St. Petersburg, FL and Sheila Bartlett of Chatham and one son, Matthew Lorton of Chatham; four grandchildren, Ann Womack, Lukas Lorton, Lane Lorton, and JD Bartlett.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of First Congregational Church, Springfield Bible Church, and King’s Daughters Organization. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, shopping, and volunteering whenever she could serve a need.

Judy retired from the State of Illinois, Department of Transportation in November 2000 as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Counsel.

Memorial Gathering: 5-6 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 6 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor John Standard officiating.

Graveside Service: 2 pm, Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Paul Evangelical Cemetery in Columbia, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or King’s Daughters Organization.
