Kathryn E. Carrigan, 92 of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home. She was born July 28, 1931 in Athens, IL the daughter of Russell and Margaret (Daley) Williams. She married Kenneth Carrigan on October 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1999.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Gerald and Harold Williams, and four sisters, Dorothy Oliver, Elsie Thompson, Margaret Godart, and Betty Hutchens.

Kathryn is survived by her three daughters, Sue (Bill) Ryan of Lockport, IL, Michelle (Jay) Burkhardt of Dallas, TX, and Diane Carrigan of Sun City, AZ, two sons, Gerald (Debbie) Carrigan of The Villages, FL and Patrick Carrigan of Dallas, TX, and one sister, Patricia Danaher of Phoenix, AZ. She also had seven wonderful grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn worked for the State of Illinois, Department of Public Aid for 25+ years. After retirement, she moved from Springfield, IL to Phoenix AZ, and later to Sun City, AZ.

While in Illinois, she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

Visitation: 9:00 am – 10:30 am, Friday, February 2, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Friday, February 2, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Church, with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
