Kevin John Brown, 52, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Peoria Heights, IL. He was born June 6, 1969, in Robbinsdale, MN, the son of Gregory Brooks Brown and Susan (Bergh) Brown. He married Debra Hubbert on December 7, 1989 and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (Christopher) Perkinson of Coronado Beach, CA and Michelle Brown of Rockville, MD; two grandchildren, Faith Marie and Cameron James; parents, Gregory (Martha) Brown of Grand Saline, TX and Susan Brown of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Scott (Wendy) Brown of Colorado and Michael (Melissa) Brown of Osseo, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kevin worked as a background analyst for the Illinois State Police for six years. He was a United States Army veteran. Kevin belonged to AFLCIO Union.

Memorial Gathering: 5 – 6 pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, IL.

Celebration of Life: 6:00 pm, Tuesday, October 12, 201 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with The Reverend Tom Swegle officiating. The services will begin with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 100 Club of Illinois.

CDC protocol shall be followed.
