Laura Jean Churchill, 57, of Chatham, died at 12:10 am, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home. She was born October 11, 1964, in Richmond, Indiana to James and Shirley Finuf.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Umberger of Taylorville; six children, Jennifer Archer of Taylorville, Kimberly England of Taylorville, Krista (Kyle) Kincaid of Chicago, Travis Churchill of Buffalo Hart, Simon (Becca) Kincaid of Riverton and Halie (Ross) Kincaid of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren, Evelynn Kincaid, Ravyn England, Skylar England, Gwendolyn Archer, Jennessa Archer, Genius England, Haley Erhardt and Colton Erhardt; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Debbie Ransdell of Nokomis, Lisa Bland of Tovey and Deanna (Glen) Goddard of Verndale, MN one brother James Finuf of Indiana; sister-in-law, Kelli Ransdell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Sara Diane and one brother, Kevin Ransdell.

Laura was a homemaker, paralegal and a licensed cosmetologist.

She was a member of the ADA Committee in Chatham.

Memorial Gathering: 3 – 6 pm, Monday, March 21, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
