Linda L. Gansky, 83, of Springfield, died at 11:54 pm, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born August 31, 1940 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Herb and Florence (Dick) Peterson.
Survivors include her companion of thirty years, Jim Richards of Springfield; two children, Joseph A. Gansky of Chatham and Catherine (Walter) Hargraves of Carlise, PA; five grandchildren, Bethany, Ronald, Hunter, Connor and Alex; one brother Larry (Leanne) Peterson of Geneva, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Madison Beatrice Hargraves.
Linda retired from Horace Mann as a computer programmer after thirty years of service.
She was an Illini basketball and football fan, as well as a Raiders fan. She enjoyed bus trips to Meskwaki, IA Casinos and spending time with her family. Per Linda’s wishes, cremation will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home and no services are being held.
