Marilyn A. Fromm 88, of Riverton died at 9:59 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born January 18, 1936, in Springfield, to Browning and Christina Loreth Jonaitis. She married Robert E. Fromm on April 11, 1953, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2017.

Survivors include five children, Madonna Marrin of Springfield, Robert (Susan) Fromm, Jr. of Springfield, Kim (John) Luparell of Springfield, James Fromm of Edgerton, WI and Jennifer (Mike) Crowe of Spaulding; nine grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Lara, Nicole (James) Marrin-Froehner, Eric Fromm, Joshua (Kristin) Luparell, Traci Knisley, James (Melanie) Fromm, Jr., Ryan Fromm and Brady (fiance' Brianna Green) Crowe and Chase Crowe; eleven great-grandchildren, Sam Lara, Gretchen Lara, Parris (Jasmine) Fromm, Liam Knisley, Joe Knisley, Clara Knisley, Ella Luparell, Isaac Luparell, Elena Fromm, Olivia Fromm and Henry Froehner and one brother Robert (Sandy) Jonaitis of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son-in-law, Dennis Marrin; one granddaughter, Hilary Fromm and one brother, Ronald Jonaitis of Springfield.

Marilyn was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Riverton. She was a resident of Springfield most of her life, was a homemaker and enjoyed Cardinals Baseball and her dog, Snickers.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 5 pm.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, May 31, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Reverend Thaddeus Adukus officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of the Donor’s Choice.
