Miles E. Horton, 82, of Springfield, IL, passed away on July 29, 2025. Miles was born in Canton, IL on February 1, 1943, to Wilmer and Helen (Lucas) Horton. He married the love of his life, Patricia Rotherham, on February 12, 1966, and she survives.

Also surviving are his four sons, Brett (Beth) Horton of Dahinda, IL, Scott (Melissa) Horton of Chatham, IL, Robert (Nichole) Horton of Jacksonville, FL, and Patrick (Jennifer) Horton of Pleasant Plains, IL; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Horton of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

 Miles graduated with an associates degree. He was a PGA Professional Member. He was a lifetime member of the PGA. Every person he met and everywhere he went, he made a difference in a lot of people’s lives. Miles was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church.

 Memorial Gathering: 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
