Nora A. “Bunny” Haney, 79, of Burlington, IA, formerly of Morris, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on July 28, 1944 in Morris, IL, to Alvin and Vera Bradley Claire. She married Patrick A. Haney on August 13, 1977 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2006.

Surviving Bunny are her three sons, Donny (Jimmy) Claypool of Oquawka, IL, Steve (Casey) Claypool of Chatham, IL and Shawn (Ashley) Haney of Burlington, IA; five grandchildren, Adielena, and Marley Haney and Madalyn, Mary and Margaret Wichmann; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Claire of Morris, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Sonny Claire and her beloved miniature poodle, Winnie.

Bunny provided for her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano, arranging flowers, and above all, spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Cremation was arranged by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, IL and private burial will take place at Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bunny to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
