Norene O’Brien Davlin, 99, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at home with her family. She was born on December 19, 1923, in Springfield, to Edward L. and Mary H. Murphy O’Brien. She married Robert E. Davlin on November 28, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1998.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy J. Davlin; and siblings, Eleanor Schwartz, Mary Anne “Nan” Jumper, Margaret L. “Peg” Merk, Lawrence R. O’Brien, Edward P. O’Brien, and Robert J. O’Brien.

Norene is survived by her three daughters, Carol Ann (Jerry) Walton of Largo, FL, Kathleen Davlin, Maureen Davlin, both of Springfield; three sons, Michael (Carol) Davlin of Denver, CO, Patrick (Rae Marie) Davlin of Springfield, and Kevin Davlin of Fraser, CO; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one brother, John F. “Jack” O’Brien of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was a proud, lifelong resident of Springfield and a graduate of Springfield High School. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She provided for her family as a homemaker.

Norene was an avid Bridge player, golfer and traveler. Her favorite time was gatherings with her beloved family.

Visitation: 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Jeffery Grant officiating.

Graveside Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, December 18, 2023 at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
