Orlando L. “Kojak” Hobson, 59, of Springfield, died at 12:33 pm, Friday, December 23, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born July 25, 1963 in St. Louis, MO to Bill and Shirley (Harper) Stewart. He married Flora Howard in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Flora; fourteen children, including, Lamont Hobson, Tiffani Hobson-Wilson, Orlando Brown, Orlando Hobson II, Orlando Hobson III, Corey Hobson and Kaitlin Beck-Sorry for any names not mentioned; two stepchildren, Shamorie Reynolds and Sierra Marshall; several grandchildren; mother, Shirley Harper Hobson; three brothers, Derek and Forest Hobson, both of O’Fallon, and Morris Hobson of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kojak was a graduate from East Saint Louis Senior High and Trident University where he wrestled and played football. He also loved to bowl and played on the Springfield leagues. He was the manager at the Spaghetti Shops in Springfield.
Private services will be held.
