Patricia A. (Sigretto) Sumpter, 83, of Springfield, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas and Ruth (Wilson) Sigretto. She married Harold Sumpter on May 27, 1961 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Bill) Steers of Florida; a son, Bryan Sumpter of Oregon; two grandchildren, Samantha and Will Steers; two great grandchildren, Liam and Lydia Steers; a stepsister, Joann Lanzotti of Springfield and several nieces and nephews, including Gail Lane and Tammy Sigretto.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Sigretto and cousin, Patrina Palumbo.

Patricia was a graduate of Ursuline Academy. She loved working at Franklin Life Insurance Company where she retired as a Financial Analyst. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springfield.

Memorial Gathering: 9:30 – 10:30 am, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Church.

Memorial Mass: 10:30 am, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Reverend Manuel P. Cuizon, Ph.D. officiating.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Dysautonomia International in honor of her granddaughter, whose life was forever changed by Dysautonomia (POTS).
