Richard L. McBride, 85, of Riverton, died at 6:57 pm, Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born October 2, 1938 in Springfield to Hershel and Martha McBride. He married Patricia Louise Campbell on February 22, 1961 and she preceded him in death on November 27, 1996.

He is also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Hershel McBride and one sister, Mary Lauterbach.

He is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Krumwiede and Dawn (Michael) Burris of Spaulding; two grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Burris of Riverton and Cory (Kaitlyn) Burris of Cornersville, TN; four great grandchildren, Kolton, Kayleigh, Brayden and Addison; two sisters, Wanda Campbell and Shirley McBride, both of Riverton and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a truck driver for 40 years for several companies and retired from Rudolph Express. He was a resident of Riverton since 1997 and was a member of several car clubs and attended many car shows. Richard also enjoyed bowling in his younger years.

Private family graveside services will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
