Richard “Rich” D. Krider 81, of Rochester, died at 12:24 pm, Sunday, April 26. 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born October 19, 1944, in Brazil, IN, to Russell H. and Rosemary (Stewart) Krider. He married Judith A. Klespitz on August 28, 1998, and she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Richard (Brook) Krider, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren Gage Krider and Makenzie (Brad) Trickey and one great grandchild, Blakely Trickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Russell Krider and two sisters, Rosella “Joyce” Payne and Rita Harpold.
He was a US Army veteran serving form 1962 – 1965. He worked as a Data Processing Advisor for the Illinois Secretary of State.
Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and slots; but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends.
Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Friday, May 1, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Cindy Lash officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Military Honors will be conducted.
