Robert “Bob” E. Creviston, 92, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1933, in Springfield, the son of Harold and Hazel (Oliver) Creviston. He married Nancy Chott on June 4, 1960, and she survives.

 In addition to his wife Nancy, Robert is survived by two daughters, Karen (Joseph) Bracco of Springfield, and Brenda (Randall) Edwards of Topeka, KS; two grandchildren, Amy (Derrick) Hart of Berryton, KS, and Dr. Nathaniel (Merideth) Edwards of White Rock, NM; four great-grandchildren, Elliott, Noah, and Liam Hart, and Adeline Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Robert was a graduate of Lamphier High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

 Robert made a career as a purchasing agent in building materials. After retirement Robert worked as a Red Coat at Memorial Medical Center now Springfield Memorial Hospital. He volunteered at Concordia Lutheran School. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026, Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

 Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026, Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Rev. Michael Koschmann officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honor’s will be conducted.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church and School.
