Robert “Bob” Joseph Rhoades, 87, of Springfield, passed away on October 29, 2021, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1934, in Springfield, Illinois, to Harry and Katie Barnett Rhoades.
He is survived by his wife Theresa and his children Jacki, Lynn and Joe, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gilbert.
Bob worked at Allis Chalmers for 23 years and was a union painter for over 20 years. He loved his motorcycles, travel in the United States, his many pets over the years, his friends and family, and the remote control.
Visitation: 5 – 7 pm, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend David Gessaman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to Memorial Home Hospice.
CDC protocol shall be followed.
