Rose Ann Teel 92, of Springfield, died on February 10, 2025, at Regency Care. She was born March 18, 1932, in Noble, IL, to Ellis Everett and Blanche Read Rodgers. She married John William Teel on October 30, 1948, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1983.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Alice Reis, Mary Brown and Jeanette Misner; one son, Bill Teel; son-in-law Ken Crites; daughter-in-law, Linda Teel and granddaughter, Deb Brown.

She is survived by one son, Bob Teel of Chatham; one daughter, Janice Crites of Olney, IL; four grandchildren, Stan (Mary) Crites, Tim (Anne) Crites, Jeni (Jonathan) Sperry and Bradley (Jennifer) Teel; grandson-in-law, Jeff Brown; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Lida Taylor and Carroll Negley; one brother Thomas Rodgers and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a homemaker and worked for Olney Central College, where she worked with displaced homemakers.

Rose Ann was a member of Clearlake Church of Christ. She was a volunteer red coat at Springfield Memorial Hospital and loved watching game shows.

Visitation: 11 am – 12 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 12 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home with Rex Crossland officiating. 

Graveside Service: 1:00 pm, Friday, February 21, 2025, at Eureka Cemetery in Claremont, IL with Larry Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Clearlake Church of Christ.
