Rosemary E. Trader, 76, of Springfield, died at 6:01 am, Friday, August 9, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born March 12, 1948, in Springfield, the daughter of Clyde and Betty (Smith) Murrell. She married James “Danny” Trader July 28, 1965.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; two daughters, Dolly Murray (Mike Maxfield) of Auburn and Jenny (Jeff) Abbott of Decatur; sister, Kathy Thompson of Farmersville; niece, Danielle Squires of Farmersville; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clyde Murrell.

Rosemary dedicated her entire life to taking care of her husband and daughters. She enjoyed reading, doing word searches, shopping, and traveling to see their favorite band, Boulderdash. She and Danny also enjoyed spending time ‘romancing around the town’ with Nick and Mary. She worked at IEA for 31 years and was the office manager for Trader Concrete Foundations until she retired.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, August 19, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Animal Protective League.
