Sharon Marie Masterson, 80 of Springfield, died at her home Friday, October 25, 2024. She was born September 26, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Russell Francis “Pat” and Marie Ann (Lofy) Masterson.

She is survived by her brother, James Francis (Judy) Masterson of St. Louis; nieces and nephews: Mary Kay Llowiecki, Daniel Masterson, Thomas (Beth) Masterson, Kimberly (Ray) Swanson, Steven Masterson, Robert (Karen) Masterson, Rick Wise, Mickey (Debbie) Coady, Colleen (Finney) Finfrock and; great niece, Christi (Justin) Merriss; great nephew, Michael (Kay) Finfrock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patricia Coady and nephew, Jim Masterson II.

Sharon was a member of Church of Christ the King. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy. She volunteered at the church and served on the Ursuline Academy Board.

 She was a caregiver for her aunt and enjoyed traveling. Sharon worked for Illinois Bell for over 32 years. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, playing bunco, cards and slot machines.

Visitation: 9-10:30 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Christ the King.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Christopher House officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Orphanage in Alton, IL.
