Shirley Ann Bianco, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born on August 21, 1937, in Springfield, the daughter of Ruby Gorbet and Ralph Hovey. She married Dominic John Bianco on April 2, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2001.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Waldo Wunderlich; son, Dominic J. Bianco II; and brother, Ronald Hovey.

Survivors include her son, Joseph “Joe” (Amy) Bianco of Springfield; three grandchildren, Tony (Diamend) Bianco of Houston, TX, Alicia (Brendan) Freitag of Springfield, and Lauren Bianco of Springfield; step-sister, Susie Wunderlich of East Moline, IL; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In 1958, Shirley, Dominic and his parents, Rose and John, opened The Pizzeria, which later became Bianco’s Supper Club, where they spent countless hours through 2007.

 She loved her family, animals, and flowers.

Visitation: 10:30 am – 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
