Stephanie Lynn McGrath 55, of Williamsville, IL passed away at 1:40 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital after many years of battling cancer. She was born May 22, 1969, in Springfield, IL to John Roland “Muggs” McGrath and Nancy Elizabeth (Brooks) McGrath.

Survivors include one brother, Kevin McGrath of Sherman; one sister, Marinda Riggins of Bloomington; three nieces, Karli (Lukas) Jachino, Mary McGrath, and Corinne Cvelbar. She was previously married and divorced to both Bob O’Neal and later Wynn Henderson, to whom have remained close friends of the family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Johnson in 1993 and later her parents; Nancy in 2011 and John Roland in 2020.

Steph grew up in Williamsville, IL and later moved to Long Beach, CA and then to Safety Harbor, FL before moving back home to be with family and friends as her illness progressed.

She previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for State Farm and Solomon Colors, before working various other jobs later in life.

Her hairless cats and 22 chickens (all with names) were her pride and joy. She enjoyed being with friends and family, farm nights, happy hour, traveling, and sharing her opinion. She will be deeply missed by many.

Visitation: 4 pm – 7 pm, Monday, November 25, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

Celebration of Life: 2 pm Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Double H Bar – Sherman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McGrath Family Farm for the care of Steph’s beloved chickens and cats.
