Sudi Blood 80, of Springfield, died at 6:58 am, Friday, April 17, 2026, at her home. She was born September 12, 1945, in Biloxi, MS to Robert Reed and Virginia Allen Johnston. She married Terrance Blood and they were married for 30 years. She married James Robert Gatschenbert on December 28, 2000, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2020.

 Her parents also preceded her in death.

 Survivors include two daughters, Stacy Suzanne Goldman and Shannon Reed (John) Lochbaum, both of Sycamore, IL; one son, Tyler Nelson (Jessica) Blood of Chatham; six grandchildren; two sisters, Karen (Estildo, deceased) Rodriquez of Florida and Roberta “Bobbie” Reed Aronson of Minnetonka, MN and one brother, Kit (Jayne) Johnston of Chatfield, MN.

 Before settling in Springfield, Sudi lived in Germany from 1948-1950, then in Tripoli, Africa until 1953, and then she moved to Bethesda, MD and remained there until 1960. She then relocated to Santiago, Chile where she remained until 1963.

 She ran a daycare for eight years and a cleaning business for ten years. In 1993, she became a realtor working with Coldwell – Banker and in 2000 she began working with ReMax.
