Susan Michelle Lahr 61, of Chatham, died at 12:15 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born April 25, 1963, in Lincoln, IL, to Roy and Betty (Munsch) Lahr.

Survivors include three children Glenn (Jennifer) Lahr of Chatham, Daniel (Kasey) Bormann of Jacksonville and Mary (Anthony) Gondek of Athens; seven grandchildren; one sister Cindy (Carl) Lawber of Pittsfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Lahr and two brothers, Douglas and Mike.

Susan was a US Army veteran and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed bowling, playing board games, BINGO, sewing; arts & crafts and playing cards at the library.

Graveside Service: The family will host a graveside service at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW or Wounded Warrior Project.
