Thomas I. Delaney, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 23, 1931 to Irvan John and Frances (Jurgens) Delaney. He married Norma Dahlkamp on December 7, 1957 and she preceded him in death on February 12, 2022.

Also preceding him in death are his parents; one sister, Charlene Roth, and one grandson, Sean Morton.

He is survived by three daughters, Laura (Scott) Morton of Springfield, Susan (Kurt) Gwillim of Springfield, and Karen (Kevin) Whitely of Wentzville, MO; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Henry, Mallory Morton, Nolan Whitely, Paige Whitely, Reed Gwillim, and Colin Gwillim; and three great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Everett, and Olive; two sisters, Judy Crowe of Springfield and Lois (Charlie) Myers of Springfield.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church and worked for Fiat Allis in the Engineer Department for many years. He was also the owner of Delaney Jewelers and enjoyed repairing watches and clocks.

He was a lifelong member of the Mozart Club.

A private family service will be held with burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
