William L. Currie, 85, of Evansville, IN, died at 10:45 pm, Friday, July 19, 2024 at Newburgh Healthcare. He was born October 18, 1938 in La Crosse, WI the son of Henry L. and Margaret Elizabeth (Neall) Currie. He married Nancy Marks Knowski in 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Evansville, IN; three daughters, Andrea Dressel of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Beth (Michael) McDermott of Lombard, IL and Lisa Currie of Madison, WI; two sons, Kurt (Pat) Knowski of West Bend, WI and Scott Currie of Del Ray Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Currie and Margaret Neal Johnson; one son, Eric Knowski and a grandchild.

Visitation: 12 – 2 pm, Friday, July 26, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman. Eulogies will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Barnes/Jewish Hospital for Cancer Research in St. Louis.
