Wilma L. Lannan Sinnott, 85, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Solaris Healthcare Imperial in Naples, FL. She was born on December 21, 1939, in Loogootee, IN, the daughter of Joseph J. and Mary L. (Melton) Lannan. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” T. Sinnott on February 20, 1960, and he survives.

Wilma is also survived by her children, Carol L. (Tod) Sinnott Rowe, William T. (Anna) Sinnott II, and Michael A. Sinnott; brother, John Lannan; grandchildren, Barry (Ashley) Rowe, Thomas “TJ” (Laurel) Rowe, Kenneth (Paige) Rowe, Michael Rowe, William T. Sinnott III, Alexxia Sinnott, Jacob Sinnott, Faith Sinnott, and Katy Sinnott; and great-grandchildren, Lucy Rowe, Penny Rowe, Wendy Rowe, and Lillian Rowe.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant children, Joseph and Mary Sinnott; and siblings: Clifford, Donald Lannan, Daniel Lannan, William Lannan, Robert Lannan, Thomas Lannan, Paul Lannan, James Lannan, Rose Lannon Butler, Catherine Lannon Gilley, Mary Lannon Arney, and Caroline Lannon Clements.

Wilma spent her life living with her husband and best friend, Bill. She worked most of her life, with the exception of when her children were young. She worked in banking, as a real estate agent, and for the State Historic Preservation Agency. For the remainder of her career, she was the founding partner and Vice President of CW³M Environmental Consulting Company.

Wilma was an active member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and longtime member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

Wilma and Bill spent years travelling the globe, which included all continents and countless countries, including North Korea. They cherished their treasures they found together. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. They were her true treasures.

Visitation: 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 1:00 pm.

Memorial Mass: 11:30 am, Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Very Rev. Brian C. Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
